I’m married, and a mother to an insanely energetic 6-year-old. I love to write (but I’m anal, so I’m slow), and I have an imagination that keeps me up at night (which is frustrating, but I love).
I pretty much write only romance (in all sub-genres), but I have a preferance for paranormal. I also write books for adult audiences, but I blog about those on a separate site (due to adult-themed content).
Let's see...what else... I write under a pseudonym, Jolyn, but my real name is Jodi. I will answer to both, and tend to end my correspondences with “J”, thusly covering all bases.
Along with Monica, I’ll update this blog at random intervals; whenever I have a YA book to review, or think of something you may find interesting. But if there’s anything else you’d like to know (book recommendations, writing tips, etc), please, just ask.
In closing, here's some random information and quirks (because everybody has them):
- I’ve been writing since I was a teenager. (So, a long time.)
- I’m addicted to Starbucks caramel macchiatos and found it really ISN’T just overpriced coffee!
- Organized chaos: What I’m like when I write. I have notes and ideas spread to the wind, but I somehow make it come together.
- I love to listen to loud music…period. But especially when I have a headache (helps to drown it out).
- When I’m overtired, I get slap happy.
- I am most creative in the morning, though I hardly ever get to write then. I sometimes worry about the dribble I type out at night. But so far it’s turned out okay.
- I title a book before I write it, because I’m anal enough to where that bothers me.
- I can’t walk into a Barnes and Noble without buying a book. Even if I have a pile of unread books at home (which I do), it just doesn’t seem right to leave empty-handed. I just realized there’s a Starbucks there…this could be bad.
